The phrase ‘green’, particularly in the cosmetic industry, was used originally as a marketing term. Consumers would automatically assume that these companies had green credentials and were following green principles and manufacturing eco-friendly products - this is not always the case.

Mervue Organic is Certified Organic with the Soil Association Cosmos Organic, is Leaping Bunny approved and carries the Vegan Trademark. All our product cartons are FSC® (Forestry Stewardship Council) sustainabiy sourced from wood harvested in forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious and economically viable.

All these accreditations are carried out by independent certification bodies. This is a rigorous process and it takes time and dedication to create a sustainable skin care brand that is non-toxic to our customers and non-toxic to the environment.

Mervue Organic is an ethical skin care company. Our ingredients are from sustainable farms that are environmentally friendly in both their farming and production methods.

Our formulations use plant based, organic and natural raw materials, carrier oils, essential oils, superfruit extracts, waxes, butters and plant-based emulsifiers.

We have chosen glass bottles and jars, except where safety may be an issue, so our superfruit body wash and superfruit body lotion are in plastic containers that can be easily recycled once thoroughly rinsed out. Our glass bottles can be recycled infinitely (put them in the green bottle container at the bottle bank). They are also perfect to up-cycle and use at home for little floral posies.

A requirement of Cosmos Organic certification is that you submit an environmental waste plan specific to your premises. This plan includes information about materials used in the manufacture of the components, energy efficiency, water usage and disposal, cleaning products and their impact on the environment.
